ReplyDeleteDespite water issues, northen Nevada looks like it is marvelous to garden in. Does Montello have the same sandy soil as I see in Winnemucca? Probably not, more the rocky beige ground I see around Jackpot. Add organic material by the ton.You know, don't you, you are not far from some marvelous fossil beds? Watch the rocks and pebbles you turn up in your own ground soil. And talk to us all about how you water and where it comes from. That is they key to Navada gardening.
